RapidAlbum on PowerPC systems
Folks,
I'm trying to gauge how many folks still actively use RapidAlbum on a PowerPC based system (i.e. either a G4 or G5). If you could let me know by posting in this discussion, that'd be great.
Cheers!

Just came across your poll; I still use a PowerMacG5 as one of my main platforms for my RapidWeaver work, and would of course love to see you (and other developers) continue to produce code that runs on both PowerPC and Intel (my laptop is an Intel MacBook Pro). That said, I also fully understand if such a decision imposes unsustainable constraints on your productivity (I'd rather you spent your time coming up with neat tools than worry about the arcana involved in continuing to support legacy stuff).
Thanks again for your continued efforts.

Javier,
I'm going to continue to build universal images for the 1.X releases. I may decide to make 2.0 Intel only but that's going to be driven by whether I need anything from the 10.6 SDK or not.
Thanks for the feedback!
Cheers

That's great to hear, Scott! Early on in my Rapidweaver-using days (early 2008), when it seemed there were far fewer options for photo-album plug-ins (especially non-Flash-based ones), I recall being so amazed when I came across RapidAlbum. As has been expressed by other commenters, your attention to detail and thoroughness is truly impressive, and rivals (and VERY often surpasses) that of products for which one has to pay. Speaking of which, I'd gladly pay for a plug-in of the caliber of RapidAlbum, especially if it meant that you could further develop/maintain it and work on other neat tools. As it is, I'm just stunned that you updated the templates to include the latest builds from HighSlide JS, etc., and others.
Thanks for your time!
